5:1  My son, give ear to my wisdom and incline your ear to my sayings
5:2  So that you heed counsel and your lips will keep knowledge.
5:3  Because the lips of an estranged woman are dripping honey and her words are softer than oil.
5:4  But their end is of bitter wormwood, for they are sharper than a double-edged sword
5:5  And her legs marry to death; her walk causes men to recline in Sheol.
5:6  And she treads not in the way of life, for her paths lead them astray and they are unknown.
5:7  Therefore children, hear me, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth.
5:8  Remove your way far from her and do not go near the door of her house
5:9  Lest you give others your power and your years to those who are merciless
5:10  And foreigners will be filled with your power and your labor enter into the house of strangers
5:11  And your soul moves you to regret in your old age when the flesh of your body is wasted
5:12  And you will say, “Why have I hated instruction and my heart has despised reproof”
5:13  “And I have not listened to the voice of my teachers, and to my instructors have not turned my ear?”
5:14  “I have been in almost every evil in the assembly and in the congregation.”
5:15  Drink waters from your well and running waters from your spring,
5:16  And let your waters overflow in your streets and let them travel in your streets.
5:17  And let them be to you alone, and let not estranged males be sexual partners with you.
5:18  And your fountain shall be blessed and rejoice with the wife of your youth-
5:19  An affectionate hind and an affectionate mountain goat; learn her ways always and think on her love.
5:20  Do not go astray, my son, with an estranged woman, neither embrace the bosom of an estranged woman.
5:21  Because the ways of a man are in front of Lord Jehovah and all his paths are open before him.
5:22  The evil man will be held captive in his debts and he will be bound in the cords of his sins.
5:23  He will die without instruction and in the abundance of his error he will be led astray.
