135:1  Praise the Lord. Praise the name of the Lord. Praise him, you servants of the Lord,
135:2  who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courtyards of the house of our God.
135:3  Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good. Make music to his name, for it is pleasant.
135:4  Yes, the Lord chose Jacob for himself. He chose Israel as his special treasure.
135:5  Yes, I know that the Lord is great. Our Lord is greater than all gods.
135:6  The Lord does whatever he pleases in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and in all the depths.
135:7  He makes clouds rise from the end of the earth. He sends lightning for the rainstorm. He releases the wind from his storehouses.
135:8  He is the one who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, both men and animals.
135:9  Egypt! He sent warning signs into your midst, against Pharaoh and against all his officials.
135:10  He is the one who struck down many nations. He killed mighty kings—
135:11  Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan.
135:12  He gave their land as a possession, a possession to Israel, his people.
135:13  Lord, your name stands forever. Lord, your reputation remains through all generations.
135:14  For the Lord will judge in favor of his people. He will have pity on his servants.
135:15  The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands.
135:16  They have a mouth, but they cannot speak. They have eyes, but they cannot see.
135:17  They have ears, but cannot hear. There is not even any breath in their mouths.
135:18  Those who make them will be like them. So will all who trust in them.
135:19  House of Israel, bless the Lord. House of Aaron, bless the Lord.
135:20  House of Levi, bless the Lord. You who fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
135:21  The Lord, who dwells in Jerusalem, will be blessed from Zion. Praise the Lord.
