143:1 Hear my prayer, Lord Jehovah, and give ear to my request; answer me in your speech and in your righteousness.
143:2 Do not bring your Servant to judgment, because no one who lives is innocent before you.
143:3 Because the enemy pursues my soul and he has humbled my life in the Earth and made me to dwell in darkness like the dead for eternity.
143:4 My spirit is troubled against me and my heart is moved within me.
143:5 And I have remembered you, Lord Jehovah, from the first, and I have meditated on all your works and have meditated on the work of your hands.
143:6 And I have stretched forth my hands to you; my soul is thirsty for you like the ground.
143:7 Answer me quickly, Lord Jehovah, because my spirit is spent; do not turn your face from me, lest I be handed over with the descenders to the pit.
143:8 Make me hear your kindness at dawn, because I trust upon you; show me your road that I may go in it, because to you, Lord Jehovah, I have lifted up my soul.
143:10 And teach me to do your pleasure, because you are my God; your Spirit is sweet; you will lead me in the way of life.
143:11 Because of your Name, Lord Jehovah, comfort me, and because of your righteousness, bring my soul out from trouble.
143:12 In your kindness, stop those who hate me, and destroy the enemies of my soul, because I am your Servant!
