147:1  Praise Yah! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is becoming.
147:2  Yahweh builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel.
147:3  He is the One who heals the brokenhearted And who binds up their wounds,
147:4  Who counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them.
147:5  Great is our Lord and abundant in power; His discernment is infinite.
147:6  Yahweh helps up the afflicted; He brings down the wicked to the ground.
147:7  Sing to Yahweh with thanksgiving; Sing praises to our God on the lyre.
147:8  He is the One who covers the heavens with clouds, The One who provides rain for the earth, The One who makes grass to sprout on the mountains,
147:9  Who gives to the animal its food, And to the young ravens which call out.
147:10  He does not delight in the might of the horse; He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man.
147:11  Yahweh is pleased with those who fear Him, Those who wait for His lovingkindness.
147:12  Laud Yahweh, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!
147:13  For He strengthened the bars of your gates; He blessed your sons within you.
147:14  He is the One who sets peace in your borders, He satisfies you with the finest of the wheat,
147:15  The One who sends forth His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly,
147:16  The One who gives snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes,
147:17  Who casts forth His ice as fragments; Who can stand before His cold?
147:18  He sends forth His word and melts them; He causes His wind to blow and so the waters flow,
147:19  Who declares His words to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.
147:20  He has not done so with any nation; So as for His judgments, they have not known them. Praise Yah!
