87:1  1 The holy Ghost promiseth, that the condition of the Church which was in misery after the captivity of Babylon, should be restored to great excellency. 4 So that there should be nothing more comfortable, than to be numbered among the members thereof. A Psalm or song committed to the sons of Korah. God laid his foundations among the holy mountains.
87:2  The Lord loveth the gates of Zion above all the habitations of Jacob.
87:3  Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
87:4  I will make mention of Rahab and Babel among them that know me: behold Palestine and Tyre with Ethiopia, There is he born.
87:5  And of Zion it shall be said, Many are born in her: and he, even the most High shall stablish her.
87:6  The Lord shall count, when he writeth the people, He was born there. Selah.
87:7  As well the singers as the players on instruments shall praise thee: all my springs are in thee.
